"These Days, I'm Changing All My Strings"

**GAHH** I have been trying to write this entry for almost a week now and I just haven't been able to finish, so here it goes again.

Baseball is back and in full swing, while it is only spring training they are playing everyday and there are stats and standings and baseball =D.  The Yankees and the Dodgers haven't had the best pre-seasons so far, but like I said it is only spring training.  The Yankees didn't have the best spring last year and we all know how that turned out.

So this post isn't going so well.  I need something to rant about I can't think of anything else to write.

p.p.s. A longer post will come when I am more inspired to right something.

p.p.p.s I love Phil Hughes (that always makes me feel better =D).

p.p.p.p.s. The title is the lyrics to the song "Amsterdam" by Guster.

"She Had A Smile That Could Light Up A Room"

Phil Hughes.jpg"There was a girl named Annie
She had a very pretty face
And not the way you would think so
Let me see if I can try to explain
She had a smile that could light up a room
And if she moved it'd be moving you
But it wasn't like a magazine
She was just plain Jane her name was Annie
"

I would like to start with the news of the day that the Yankees DFAed Edwar Ramirez in order to make room for Chan Ho Park on the roster.  Now I have never had much of a problem with Park he was a Dodger for a while and while I was not thrilled when I found out the Yankees signed him I didn't really care but they got rid of turtle face for him =(.  It's not like Park is so much better than Edwar I think that turtle face has way more potential than Park does.

So basically depending on what happens with Phil and Joba for now I have no one left in the bullpen that I especially like no more Brian Bruney no more Phil Coke no more Edwar.

On a brighter note Spring training games start next week and since it's not looking like Jesus will be in the majors anytime soon this will be the only chance I get to see him play.  And I love getting to see the spring training games and seeing all the people that you don't usually get a chance to see play play.  It's like a back stage pass to see the future players.  And it's baseball on TV!!!

p.p.s. The lyrics are from the song "Annie" by SafteySuit.

p.p.p.s. I miss baseball
♥.

"I Think I'll Be Gone Away Awhile"

Jesus Montero.jpgI'll be in Arizona seeing the Dodgers or with the Yankees down in Tampa.  Oh how I wish that were true.  So there was a picture of David Wright yesterday in the Post, or at least on their website, and he apparently spent the entire off-season getting even more ripped than he was before.  His arms seriously scare me now, I don't think it would take him any effort to crush me.  Not that it would have taken him any effort before, I'm only 5'2''.

Other than David's arms there have been no good pictures from spring training this weekend, at least not that I have seen =(.  I need more pictures of Phil Hughes and more importantly Jesus Montero.  There are already lots of pictures of Phil and while I would always like more I would also like to see some of Jesus.  I know I mentioned this on twitter but not here, but Jesus was the one catching Phil when he and Joba were throwing their side-by-side bullpen sessions last week.

"But I'll be fine
Oh don't you worry
Cause I'll be fine
See I'm in a hurry to be"

p.p.s.  All of the lyrics in this post are from the song "Gone Away"  by SafetySuit.

p.p.p.s. Isn't Jesus Montero just so cute?

p.p.p.p.s.
(that was for the paragraph about Phil Hughes and Jesus Montero but I didn't want to screw up the rest of the post so I put it here).

"And I Ain't Missing You At All"

Phil Hughes 5.jpgI don't think that anything I could say (write) could possibly describe how much I have been missing baseball.  The first spring training game (for the Yankees) will be on March 3 and on air on YES and you have no idea how long I have been waiting for baseball to be on TV again.  Even though I have a while before I can see any Dodgers games being able to see one team is a start.  There is also an album on MLB.com from the Yankees workout yesterday and while it is wonderfully amazing that the first picture is of Phil Hughes there is also a picture of Joba talking to the catcher who he had been practicing with and if you ask me that catcher looks a lot like Jesus Montero.

In other underrated rated player news there is an article on Rossy on NYTimes.com I don't know if it was actually in the paper since I am one of the many people contributing to the fall of the newpaper industry by reading it online but who cares its a whole article on Rossy
.

Okay so I would write more but I have screwed up something with the font and the more I try to adjust it the more annoying it gets.

p.p.s.  Title is the lyrics to "Missing You" by Tyler Hilton (I know he didn't sing the original but I like his version better)

p.p.p.s. Dont you just love the picture.

"You Make Me Smile Like the Sun..."

Phil Hughes 4.jpg"...Fall out of bed, sing like bird
Dizzy in my head, spin like a record
Crazy on a Sunday night
You make me dance like a fool
Forget how to breathe
Shine like gold, buzz like a bee
Just the thought of you can drive me wild
Ohh, you make me smile"

ESPN.com finally has pictures up of people other than Curtis Granderson.  And this particular picture makes me VERY happy ♥.

Oh, how I have missed my Phil Hughes.  I am going to try and stop smiling now since my cheeks are starting to hurt =D.

p.p.s. All the lyrics are from the song "Smile" by Uncle Kracker.

p.p.p.s.

"When The Best Part of Me Was Always You"

**AHHHH**

CC and AJ.jpgOkay, I am glad I got that out.  Now time for the stuff that calms me down and makes me happy, the rest of the world calls it Baseball.  Everyone started reporting to spring training, except for me.  I wish I was there.  Maybe if I put on my red pumps and click my heels together three time I will magically end up in the Tampa at the Yankees camp.  As much as I love the Dodgers I really have no desire to go to Arizona, I wish they were still in Florida.  Plus when going to Florida while all the players are busy with the boring stuff like physicals, I can go to Disney World.

The only glitch in all of this spring talk is that there is still snow and a lot of it.  While it looks beautiful and all I think that with the start of spring training, the snow should start to melt and it should slowly start getting warmer and actually feeling like spring.

p.p.s.  The title is the lyrics to the song "Breakeven" by The Script they are an awesome band and you should def check them out =).

p.p.p.s. The picture is from the other day at spring training.  The initials stick together for their workouts.

"Be Yourself is All That You Can Do"

SHAWNY!!!.jpgSo usually I don't talk about the title of the post until the very end but this time it actually has a connection to baseball.  It is the lyrics to the song "Be Yourself" by Audioslave which is the song that Shawn Green would come up to bat to when he was on the Mets.  I miss him and would welcome him back to baseball, New York or otherwise, anytime :(.

Next order of business the Winter Olympics start tonight and since there is no baseball until next week I guess I will watch that.  I am not really fond of the winter Olympics because I am not really interested in any of the sports.  I like figure skating, mostly because I used to.  And of course I like curling because I think it is basically impossible for one to dislike curling.  Feel free to disagree but you would be wrong.

Other than that I am really out of topics because we still have a little time before spring training.  Hopefully the Yankees won't get rid of anymore of my favorite players before the season begins.  Or at all but we'll take it one step at a time and go with before the season starts and then worry about them trading away the rest of the team later on.

p.p.s. Dodgers in 9 Yankees in 5

"And What You Say Just Fades Away"

Thumbnail image for Phil Hughes 3.jpgSo to start a few things that I forgot yesterday:

1. They Yankees also traded away Brian Bruney and Phil Coke.
2.  I am not happy with the above statement.
3.  BTW I went to the game where the Yankees clinched the AL championship which was awesome and I forgot to mention it before.

On a happier note there is a wonderful article on Ross Ohlendorf on MLB.com and I always thought that he was underrated as a Yankee and I am glad that people now see how wonderful he is.  Because he truly must be the perfect he is attractive, plays baseball and is incredibly smart and if he ever gets injured and is unable to play baseball he has a degree from Princeton to fall back on.  I don't know about everyone else but that sounds good to me =D.

Umpire Groupie Update:

One of the best parts about going to game 6 of the ALCS was that Laz Diaz was one of the Umpires.  Now I understand that I was probably the only one in the stands at that just as excited about the umpires as the game but it is still exciting for me.

Now for all that non-baseball related stuff that I have yet to discuss.  First off Gossip Girl and Glee are both on hiatus and have been for a while now and until a few weeks ago so was Greek and I have to say this off-season was probably the hardest one to handle yet because of this fact.

I also watched a whole football game for the first time in my life and let me just say I do not have the desire to do so ever again.  I watched the Superbowl and was rooting for the Colts and since they lost and I didn't understand the game anyway it was not an experience I enjoyed.  Not that I would have enjoyed it anymore if they had won.  Basically I have come to the conclusion that I do not like sports which involve grown men fighting over plastic objects.  So that eliminates football, soccer, basketball, and hockey, I just don't see the point to them.

p.p.p.s. the title is the lyrics from the song "Low Day" by Capra

p.p.p.p.s.  Dodgers in 10---Yankees in 6

Let it Snow Let it Snow Let it Snow

Okay so I know it has been a while and I have missed a lot but life's been a little crazy and is starting to settle down a little no so I am back.

First let's go over what we missed:
-Yankees and Dodgers both made it to the post season =D
-Dodgers got eliminated in the NLCS :(
-Yankees beat the Phillies to become the World Series Champions once again ♥
-Johnny Damon, Melky, Matsui, and Jose are all not on the Yankees anymore :( **BTW I am still very upset with the Yankees over the Melky trade**
-Dodgers have not done anything to piss me off this off-season they still have Chad, Andre, Russell and all my other favorites =D
-I turned 18 ♥

Onto the present, spring training starts up next week 7 days for the Yankees and 11 Days for the Dodgers.  I wish I was going this year but I won't be able to :(.  I can't wait for them to start playing the spring training games on TV I love watching all the young players *cough cough* Jesus Montero *cough cough*.

That is all for now but since we are just in the middle of the snowpocalypse I will come back later and update on all the non-baseball news.

BTW b/c I can still not guarantee consistent updates here be sure to follow me on twitter cause I do update that a lot http://twitter.com/Aliegator65.

.peace.alie.

p.s. enjoy the snow =D

See You In October

Celebration.jpgWE DID IT!!!!!
